The Tulane University Shuttles and Transportation system helps you travel safely and easily to, from, and around our campuses. Providing over 260,000 rides annually to the Tulane University community, we offer commuter connections to faculty, staff, and students between the uptown, downtown, Elmwood and University Square campuses. Tulane TapRide, an on-demand, point-to-point van service, is available 7 nights a week.
We also collaborate with the Center for Public Service to provide convenient, efficient transportation to our many students, faculty and staff involved in service learning projects. In addition to the university-provided transportation, we partner with many transportation providers in the city for chartered school bus or motor coach transportation, hired car or cab service, airport transportation, and rental cars. More information on these services can be found above.
All Shuttles & Transportation drivers are university employees who hold a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a Passenger (P) endorsement. Ongoing driver safety and customer service training is conducted year round. Shuttle buses and vans are all equipped with both interior and exterior audio and video cameras, bike racks, HEPA filters, plexiglass driver barriers, and hand sanitizer dispensers. Shuttle buses are equipped with wheelchair lifts and meet ADA regulations.
